Amanda Bossard net worth
Amanda Bossard was just out high school when she began her marine biology education at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Bossard started her journey in the commercial seafood industry in the year 1999. In that year she worked as a fisherman on Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat, which was later converted into a fish tender. Bossard and Aritan are married now and have joined forces to stake their claim to their respective industries. Both are advocates of conserving and maximizing the use of sustainable resources within the seafood industry. Otolith opened its direct market wholesale distributor in Philadelphia when Bossard was able to return from home with her two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre 1year old, to Philadelphia. The name of the company is a loving reference to her deep expertise in fish biology as well as her husband's lengthy involvement with the fishing industry, frequently keeping them from each other for 5 months or more at a time when they are focused on their the environment and financial goals that are a reflection of their individuality and commitment to their community wherever they live. In July 2016, Bossard along with her daughter Isabella aged 12 and son Andre aged 10 returned to Southeast Alaska annually each summer as deckhands during the summer wild salmon harvest. They use hooks and line to catch their fish before joining Aritan to market their products to local processors for two months. They then continue to grow their direct seafood market through Otolith Sustainable Seafood. Amanda Bossard works as an Anchor/MMJ at News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx. She has been with News 12 since the beginning of November of 2015. She is passionate about highlighting the positive things that happen within the boroughs she covers and share stories that make an impact.
